"summary": "The Kano State Private and Voluntary Institutions Board (KSPVIB) has ordered the temporary closure of nine private schools for failing to comply with requirements for revalidation and recertification. According to Daily Post Nigeria, the Executive Secretary of the board, Baba Abubakar Umar, announced the decision during a media parley in Kano, noting that the schools were sanctioned after repeatedly failing to follow directives to regularise their operations and renew their registration.\n\nThe affected institutions include Zayyad Academy, Success International Schools, Sunshine International School, Perfect Schools, Al-Fa’iq International College, Mainasara International School, Shubla Academy, Darul Mu’uminat Comprehensive School, and Hanan International School. Daily Post Nigeria reports that these schools will remain closed for seven days from the date of the announcement, and any institution that reopens without approval will face legal action.\n\nUmar also disclosed that the board had identified 111 schools suspected of bypassing regulatory procedures. He stated that some affected institutions had failed to comply with court directives to regularise their operations and emphasized that the board would enforce the law against schools that continue to disregard instructions.",
