"account": "The Oyo State police command has apprehended a man who allegedly traveled from Anambra State to avenge his brother's death, seizing a pistol and ammunition from him. Interception of the suspect occurred during a routine stop and search operation along Ife Road, as reported by the state's Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka. According to Olayinka, the suspect's answers during interrogation revealed his intent to carry out a revenge killing over the death of his brother, prompting his journey to Oyo State. The suspect was arrested after the discovery of the firearm and ammunition during the search. In a video of his questioning, the suspect stated that he was working in Benue State when he received news of his brother's death at a school in Awka, allegedly due to someone's actions. Following his brother's death, the suspect's mother also passed away a few weeks later. The suspect then learned that the person he believed responsible for his brother's death was living in Oyo State, leading to his intended journey to the region. During questioning, the suspect confirmed that he was heading towards Oyo State and disclosed that he had purchased the firearm from a friend for ₦20,000. When asked if he was a member of a cult group, the suspect admitted to belonging to the Vikings' confraternity. However, he could not confirm whether his deceased brother was also part of a cult group, as he was not present at the same school with his brother. The suspect is currently undergoing investigation to determine his connections and the circumstances surrounding the incident.",
