"summary": "The Kano State Private and Voluntary Institutions Board (KSPVIB) has ordered the temporary closure of nine private schools for failing to comply with revalidation and recertification requirements. According to Daily Post Nigeria, the Executive Secretary of the board, Baba Abubakar Umar, announced the closures during a media parley in Kano. The sanctioned institutions include Zayyad Academy, Success International Schools, Sunshine International School, Perfect Schools, Al-Fa’iq International College, Mainasara International School, Shubla Academy, Darul Mu’uminat Comprehensive School, and Hanan International School.\n\nUmar stated that the schools were shut down after repeated failures to follow directives to renew their registration and regularize their operations. Daily Post Nigeria reports that the affected schools will remain closed for seven days from the date of the announcement, and any institution that reopens without approval will face legal action. Additionally, the board has identified 111 schools suspected of bypassing regulatory procedures, with some institutions having failed to comply with court directives to regularize their operations.",
