"account": "Metallica guitarist James Hetfield recently voiced his opinion on the Macklemore and Ed Sheeran controversy at the band's Sphere Residency in Las Vegas. After Macklemore used his sets during his tour with Ed Sheeran to advocate for a free Palestine, he was kicked off the tour due to protests from Israeli groups and support from Robert Kraft. Sheeran then released a \"both sides\" statement and insisted that his shows should be a politics-free zone. Hetfield agreed with this sentiment, stating that Metallica is not an \"entertainer\" like Sheeran, who tries to influence their audience with their \"bullshit.\" Hetfield emphasized that Metallica is here to simply create heavy music and forget about all the outside political issues. He argued that taking a political stance can be just as alienating as Macklemore's actions, and that it's unnecessary for acts to make a big deal out of being apolitical.",
