"summary": "US federal agents conducted a predawn raid on the Washington home of Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar on Monday. A representative for the Department of Justice told AP that Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant as part of a continuing federal investigation. According to reports from The National, France 24, and Fox News, the search follows a criminal fraud investigation into immigration paperwork submitted by Ms. Omar's late father when she was a child.\n\nMs. Omar has denied all allegations of wrongdoing, describing them as false and politically motivated. House Democratic leaders released a statement saying that Donald Trump and far-right extremists have spent years targeting the Congresswoman with baseless accusations and personal attacks.\n\nThe Somali-born lawmaker represents Minnesota's 5th District and is currently seeking re-election for the seat on November 3. She became a US citizen in 2000 and has been a frequent critic of President Donald Trump.",
