"account": "A Republican-aligned super PAC, Defending Main Street, spent thousands of dollars on an attack ad targeting Democratic Senate candidate Troy Jackson in the Maine Senate race. The ad criticized Jackson for his stance on taxes and cost of living in the state, stating, \"Maine can't afford Troy Jackson and all his taxes.\" The super PAC, which supports incumbent GOP Sen. Susan Collins, advertised the video to digital audiences more than 3,000 miles away in Portland, Oregon, rather than the intended Portland, Maine. Political operative Andy O'Brien, who supports Jackson, called the error \"hilarious\" and criticized the super PAC for funding Collins's election. The race between Collins and Jackson has become one of the most high-profile in the country as the midterms approach, drawing significant political spending.",
