"account": "Cartagena celebrated Spain's Fiesta de la Hispanidad with a five-day cultural extravaganza from October 8 to 12, bringing together residents and visitors to explore shared history, international relations, music, and traditions. Organized by Cartagena City Council and the Héroes de Cavite Cultural Association, the festivities featured over 30 events supported by the Hispanotec network and regional institutions.\n\nThe Plaza del Ayuntamiento served as the epicenter of the celebrations, hosting performances showcasing traditional music from Latin America, including Cuban and Peruvian styles, alongside Ibero-American dances. A standout musical performance was the Musical Unit of the Tercio de Levante Marine Infantry, marking the city's National Day celebrations.\n\nBeyond the vibrant music and dance, the programme delved into history and international relations, with conferences and discussions on Spain's influence in the Americas, Africa, and the Mediterranean. A notable highlight was the 250th anniversary of the United States' founding and Spain's role in American independence.\n\nEducational activities, exhibitions, and a historical treasure hunt concluded the festivities on October 12. Supported by institutions like the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and the Chamber of Commerce, the Fiesta de la Hispanidad offered a lively celebration of cultural connections, history, and the shared heritage between Spain and the Americas.",
