"account": "Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced that his newly developed interceptor drone successfully took down two Russian Geran-5 drones within its first week of testing. The drone, created by Fedorov in just one month, was deployed by the Lasar's Group, a special forces unit within Ukraine's National Guard. This achievement comes as Russian jet-powered drones, notably the Geran-5, pose a growing threat to Ukrainian cities. Experts describe the Geran-5 as resembling a cruise missile more than a drone. The senior engineer at a defense contractor highlighted the Geran-5's increased difficulty in interception compared to previous Russian drone models. Ukraine has only managed to shoot down 57% of jet-powered drones, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky's address on September 28.",
"summary": "The successful test comes as Ukrainian cities are under repeated assault from Russia's new generation of jet-powered drones.",
