"account": "Over ten suspected leaders of scam operations in Ghana have been arrested and remanded by authorities, according to the Public Relations Officer of the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), Benjamin Madro Avornyotse. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full scope of the suspects' activities and identify additional individuals involved in these schemes. Law enforcement agencies have seized numerous electronic devices, such as mobile phones and laptops, for forensic analysis to gather more information about the criminal networks. CSA officials are diligently separating the alleged perpetrators from the victims, who were reportedly misled by job offers and coerced into engaging in fraudulent online activities. The arrests align with an operation led by the FBI, which dismantled a scam operation in Ghana as part of Operation Blackout, targeting transnational fraud networks. FBI Director Kash Patel announced the operation on X, revealing that nearly US$10 million in losses were incurred by 89 victims, while over 130 people were arrested or detained. Over three hundred electronic devices were also seized during the operation. Authorities are working towards repatriating the victims to their home countries.",
