"summary": "A blast on the Israeli-Lebanese border killed a teenager and wounded approximately 20 people, according to Middle East Eye and Dawn. The incident occurred on Monday while students and staff from a religious high school were hiking in the Ramim Ridge area of northern Israel. Magen David Adom reported that eight of the injured were in serious or moderate condition. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office stated the Prime Minister was holding assessments and requested the quick evacuation of the injured to hospitals.\n\nMiddle East Eye reports that the military believes the blast resulted from a submunition from a Hezbollah rocket that detonated while the children were hiking. A preliminary probe by authorities suggests one of the school children may have handled a submunition and placed it in his backpack. Dawn reports that the Israeli police's initial suspicion is that the explosion was caused by unexploded ordnance.\n\nSeparately, the Jerusalem Post reports that the IDF is investigating an accident in Lebanon last Thursday that killed 21-year-old Captain Eliav Haim Tzapalamus. The family of Tzapalamus alleges that commanders in the 603rd Battalion and the 7th Brigade failed to follow operational procedures by sending only one Humvee on a mission that required at least two vehicles. The family claims Tzapalamus remained trapped beneath an overturned vehicle for 20 to 30 minutes while other injured soldiers were unable to call for help due to radio failure.",
