"account": "Nigerian singer and actor Banky W has revealed that he is now an ordained pastor in the United States, having relocated there with his family two years ago. The 45-year-old, whose birth name is Olubankole Wellington, shared the news on Instagram, stating that he serves as Associate Pastor and Global Ambassador at Union Church. In addition to his pastoral duties, Banky W works as a teacher and leader at Union College.\n\nAccording to the singer, his journey into ministry was sparked by his defeat in Nigeria's 2023 parliamentary elections. Banky W, who ran on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party, lost the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat to Labour Party candidate Thaddeus Attah. Heartbroken by his political loss, the singer sought guidance from God, leading him to question whether to pursue politics, ministry, entertainment or business.\n\nDespite his continued involvement in music and film, Banky W credits Union Church leaders Stephen and Zai Chandler for their support in his spiritual growth. He described his first year in ministry as the start of a new chapter in his life. The announcement of Banky W's ordination as a pastor was first reported by DailyGuide Network.",
