"account": "Nvidia's RTX 4090, a high-performance graphics card, celebrated its fourth birthday on October 12, 2021, with an MSRP of $1,499. Today, finding a cheaper alternative is challenging, as the cheapest RTX 5080 listed is the Asus Prime variant for $1,640. The RTX 5090, Nvidia's rumored replacement, remains elusive, with only premium-priced third-party listings. Despite its impressive specifications, including 24 GB of GDDR6X, 76.3 billion transistors, and 16,384 CUDA cores, increased price has made it less appealing for some consumers. The RTX 4090's power and performance have stood the test of time, making it a popular choice among gamers who could afford its high price. The card's legacy may mark the last halo GPU that made sense for a regular consumer to buy, as graphics card pricing continues to skyrocket, making future-proofing an increasingly difficult pursuit.",
