"account": "A police officer sustained a serious facial injury during a match between Liverpool and Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday, according to Merseyside Police. The incident occurred when the officer was assaulted by a fan on Anfield Road around 18:30 BST. Ten people were arrested in total, with charges ranging from assault and affray to tragedy chanting.\n\nMerseyside Police spokesperson Ch Insp Leanne Hobin expressed her disappointment at the officer's injury, emphasizing that it was unfortunate that the duty of protecting the public had led to such a serious outcome. She also condemned the notion of tragedy chanting, stating that the loss of life should never be a subject for tribal point-scoring and that such behavior has no place in football.\n\nRegarding the five fans arrested for alleged tragedy chanting, Hobin highlighted the distress caused to the families of those who have lost loved ones, and reiterated that the fans' actions were unacceptable. Despite the actions of a few, she acknowledged the overwhelming majority of the 60,000 fans who had attended the match and appreciated their cooperation.\n\nCity's coach opted to take an alternative route to Anfield due to the tense atmosphere, as the Reds fans had displayed a hostile reception during their arrival. Half-and-half scarves with the message \"Shamchester City - The Cheats\" were held up by supporters, and City's players faced deafening jeers inside the stadium, accompanied by banners displaying messages like \"A Generation Of Supporters Cheated.\"",
