"account": "Twenty-four South Korean nationals were apprehended in Nepal for participating in a religious program while on tourist visas, according to local media reports on October 12. The arrests occurred following their involvement in a religious training program at New Covenant College, a Christian educational facility located in the Morang district of Koshi province in eastern Nepal. The college, which operates with assistance from a South Korean-based Christian missionary organization, offers religious studies and education. Nepalese authorities arrested the South Koreans after assessing that certain activities they engaged in may have contravened the terms of their tourist visas. The South Korean foreign ministry became aware of the arrests and has maintained close communication with Nepalese authorities via the South Korean Embassy in Nepal. However, the ministry declined to provide additional details to maintain the privacy of the individuals and due to the ongoing Nepalese investigation.",
