"account": "A faction within Afenifere, a pan-Yoruba socio-political organization, has demanded that the price of petrol be reduced to between N350 and N400 per litre in order to alleviate the financial burden on Nigerians. This comes after the government's proposed price stabilization mechanism, which aims to keep the price at a maximum of N1,350 per litre, was deemed inadequate by the group. The demand was made during the meeting of the organization's National Executive Committee, held in Lagos, and was signed by the organization's leader, Oba Oladipo Olaitan, and its newly appointed Secretary-General, Alade Rotimi-John. The group also expressed concern over the high inflation rate, economic hardship, and hunger currently facing the country, which they attribute to the administration of President Bola Tinubu. Additionally, Afenifere called for a review of the national minimum wage to N70,000 per month, stating that inflation has made it unaffordable.",
