"account": "KUALA LUMPUR: The Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has appointed four officers to assist families of the 54 individuals still missing after the flash floods in Nepal, as reported by Malaysia Solidarity Families in Hope (Masfih). Dr R. Manivannan, Masfih's representative, disclosed that the decision was made during a lengthy two-and-a-half hour meeting at BNM, which involved financial institutions, insurance companies, and the relatives of the missing Malaysians. The devastating floods occurred following the collapse of a mountain and glacier near Nepal's border with China, resulting in waves that caused significant destruction in the northern mountainous regions. Over 1,400 people lost their lives, and more than 5,000 remain unaccounted for. The appointed officers will serve as points of contact, eliminating the necessity for families to repeatedly describe their situation to various banks, insurers, and agencies. Masfih has also requested an additional officer who is Tamil-speaking to improve communication with the affected families, emphasizing that the setup aims to make communication clearer and more effective while also safeguarding families from scam calls that seek personal or financial information.",
