"account": "Malaysia's Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) is expected to receive the lightweight FA-50M fighter jets manufactured by Korea Aerospace Industries according to schedule, stated Defense Minister Khaled Nordin. He added that the exact date of arrival will be announced soon. According to schedule, the aircraft will arrive this month or next month, the exact date will be announced later, currently I do not receive any information about any delays in the delivery of the relevant aircraft, he told journalists after the 2026/2027 Heroism Fund Launching Meeting. Also present were the Patron of the Heroism Fund, Wan Azizah Wan Ismail; Army General Azhan Md Othman; Navy General Zulhelmy Ithnain, and Air Force General Muhamad Norazlan Aris. In May 2023, the Ministry of Defense and South Korea's aerospace company signed a contract worth nearly RM4 billion for the acquisition of 18 lightweight FA-50 Block 20 fighter jets, dubbed specifically as FA-50M (Malaysia). These aircraft are significantly more advanced and capable than the FA-50 in use by the South Korean Air Force and other countries, including Thailand, Philippines, and Indonesia. In June, TUDM confirmed two FA-50M aircraft will arrive in Malaysia this month, with the remainder to be received gradually until March 2028.",
