"summary": "AirAsia, Southeast Asia's largest low-cost airline, is reportedly in talks with the Malaysian government over potential funding support, according to sources cited by Business Recorder. The discussions come as the airline faces soaring jet fuel costs, which have surged by 66% in the second quarter following the US-Israeli war on Iran. Tony Fernandes, AirAsia's co-founder and adviser, met with officials from Malaysia's finance and transport ministries two weeks ago to discuss the potential government backing for the airline's fundraising efforts, contingent on certain conditions. However, Fernandes clarified in an interview with Reuters that no formal discussions on financial assistance have taken place, emphasizing that the airline remains confident in navigating the current situation without state assistance.",
