"account": "Suspected herders destroyed a significant portion of a cabbage farm in Rakum village, located in the Ropp District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area in Plateau State, according to information from a security analyst. The incident came to light on Saturday, October 10, 2026, when troops of Operation Peace (OPEP) reported the destruction. Upon arrival at the scene, Sector 4 troops found that the suspects had used cutlasses to cut down a large section of the cabbage farm before fleeing the area, making it difficult for authorities to apprehend them immediately. The suspected herders' actions have raised concerns over the increasing destruction of agricultural produce by such groups in the state. The security analyst emphasized that attacks on farmers' livelihoods, coupled with ongoing criminal activities, have severely impacted agricultural activities and livelihoods in Plateau State.",
