"account": "Sacramento, California - October 10, 2026 - In a heartfelt gesture, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr expressed his support for former No. 1 pick Ben Simmons as he makes his preseason debut with the Sacramento Kings. Speaking to reporters after the Warriors' 111-106 victory over the Kings, Kerr said, \"I wish him well. I hope he has a really successful comeback and I'm glad that he's back in the league and competing.\" Simmons, who struggled with back surgeries and mental health issues over the past few years, made his first preseason appearance at power forward, playing nine minutes and recording seven points, one assist, and finishing with three of four free throws. The 30-year-old expressed his happiness at returning to the court, stating, \"When you're out for a year and come back, it's a good feeling to just be out there and compete.\" The Kings, aware of Simmons' limited role, will manage his preseason workload over the remaining two games before the regular season begins on October 21.",
