"account": "On Monday, North Korea launched multiple ballistic missiles towards the sea off its eastern coast, according to South Korea's military. The missiles were reportedly fired from a location near Pyongyang, as stated by the South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff. Earlier, Japan's coast guard reported that North Korea had fired two unidentified projectiles, which were believed to be ballistic missiles, and added that both had apparently fallen. The tension between the two Koreas has been escalating in recent weeks due to weapons tests by both nations and a mine blast incident last month, which injured three South Korean soldiers. Seoul accused North Korea of planting landmines on the border and demanded an apology; however, Pyongyang denied the claim and accused South Korea of provocation. Kim Yo Jong, the powerful sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, announced that the launch was a test of an intermediate-range strategic missile. North Korea has conducted missile tests on more than ten occasions this year.",
