"account": "On Monday, North Korea launched an unidentified projectile from its east coast, according to South Korea's military. The joint chiefs of staff announced the event in a brief statement, using the term \"East Sea,\" which is another name for the Sea of Japan. This comes after Pyongyang tested a ballistic missile earlier in the month, boasting that it incorporated artificial intelligence technology. The missile, fired on October 3, reportedly had the ability to alter its flight path near the ground, with AI integrated into its design, as stated by Kim Yo Jong, the influential sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, at the time. Subsequently, Seoul reported the successful test of its first domestically developed hypersonic glide vehicle (HGV) a few days later. This HGV, capable of reaching targets across the Korean Peninsula, was described by South Korea's presidential office as a new deterrent capability. The escalating tensions between the two nations have been further fueled by a recent incident where two landmines detonated in the Seoul-administered section of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), injuring three South Korean soldiers. An investigation conducted jointly by Seoul and the United Nations suggested North Korea had planted these landmines years ago, a claim Pyongyang has strongly refuted.",
"summary": "The launch follows Pyongyang’s test-firing of a ballistic missile earlier this month, which it said used artificial intelligence technology.",
