"account": "New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani pledged that the city would investigate the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) shooting that occurred on Thursday, leaving a man wounded. Mamdani informed MS NOW that he spent two hours on the phone with President Donald Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, urging them to suspend all ICE operations in the city and secure the victim's release. Despite his efforts, the shooting took place in the Marble Hill neighborhood, where 28-year-old Oscar Belgal was hit by at least seven rounds, suffering a gunshot wound to the neck. The victim's five-year-old child in the car was not injured. Belgal's car was reportedly blocked by ICE agents, who claimed he refused to exit the vehicle when ordered. ICE agents blocked Belgal's vehicle, and an agent administered first aid before transporting him to the hospital. The NYPD has released body camera footage of the incident, showing Belgal handcuffed and wounded after arriving at the scene. A federal judge has barred his deportation, and he was taken to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.",
