"summary": "Tropical Storm Rachel brought rain and waves to Southern California, causing devastation along the Long Beach waterfront, according to CBS News. The Hindustan Times - World News reports that remnants of Rachel were expected to bring gusty winds and heavy rains to parts of the southwestern U.S.\n\nSeparately, at least four deaths were linked to Isaias, the first hurricane of the Atlantic season. Isaias made landfall near Destin, Florida, as a Category 2 hurricane on Friday before moving into Alabama with tropical-force winds. According to the Hindustan Times - World News, two of the deaths occurred when trees fell onto homes in Florida and Alabama, and a woman was killed by a falling tree in Escambia County, Florida. One man died from carbon monoxide fumes.\n\nThe remnants of Isaias brought heavy rainfall and flooding risks to the mid-Atlantic and central Appalachians on Sunday. The National Weather Service indicated that heavy rainfall caused rivers to overflow in western North Carolina, creating risks of urban and flash flooding. Additionally, the National Weather Service noted that tornadoes were possible in parts of North Carolina and Virginia.",
