"account": "The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has emphasized the need for an integrated digital infrastructure to bridge the gap in agricultural services, particularly for Nigeria's expanding farming population. NITDA's Director-General, Kashifu Inuwa, spoke at the Africa Agribusiness Extension Summit 2026, advocating for a digital ecosystem built around interoperability, scalability, security, and reliable data. He stressed that AI could analyze agricultural trends, generate recommendations, and support early-warning systems to help farmers respond to emerging threats. The push comes as Nigeria aims to boost agricultural productivity amid rising food demand. Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, echoed Inuwa's sentiments, calling for increased investment in digital agricultural extension services to complement existing workforce gaps.",
