"summary": "The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is promoting a digital infrastructure to connect Nigerian farmers to agricultural advice and services, leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence. NITDA Director-General Kashifu Inuwa emphasized the need for an interconnected digital ecosystem that integrates various technologies and complies with principles of interoperability, scalability, security, and reliable data. He highlighted the potential of AI in analyzing agricultural trends, generating recommendations, and supporting early-warning systems to help farmers respond to emerging threats. The push for digital agricultural extension services comes as Nigeria seeks to improve agricultural productivity amid rising food demand, and as the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, called for greater investment in these services to complement existing systems.",
