"account": "The Las Vegas Raiders gave rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza his first NFL look on Sunday in a 45-17 loss to the New England Patriots. Mendoza was thrust into the starting role to lead the Raiders' final drive. He moved the offense on a low-stakes possession, ending with a turnover on downs. No scores were scored during his 6-of-8 pass completion for 48 yards. Head coach Klint Kubiak confirmed Mendoza's debut was meant to provide exposure and he was pleased with Mendoza's performance. Mendoza's starting role, once contested, remains secure for now as former starter Kirk Cousins remains the team's QB 1.",
