"summary": "Cornell University has canceled its homecoming concert scheduled for Oct. 17 at Barton Hall in Ithaca, New York. According to Billboard, the Cornell Concert Commission announced the cancellation on Instagram this Friday, noting the event was intended to feature the indie-pop duo Between Friends. The decision follows backlash regarding the university's handling of sexual assault allegations.\n\nVariety reports that Bill Maher, a 1978 graduate of Cornell, addressed the situation during a Friday night episode of “Real Time.” Maher described the alleged gang rape at a Cornell fraternity house as \"deeply disturbing\" while discussing the ongoing Cornell 7 lawsuit.",
