"account": "Jessica Chastain's horror film \"Other Mommy\" dominated the North American box office this weekend, grossing $27.5 million in its opening weekend. Despite mixed reviews, the movie exceeded expectations, earning more than initially anticipated. \"The Social Reckoning,\" directed by Aaron Sorkin, made a lackluster debut, only earning $5.5 million from 2,606 theaters. The film, based on a Facebook whistleblower story, received mixed-to-negative reviews. Sony Pictures' production cost of around $30 million further dampened hopes for the film's success. Meanwhile, \"Verity,\" an Anne Hathaway psychological thriller, took second place with $11.5 million, a 64% drop from its opening weekend. \"Resident Evil\" and \"Heart of the Beast\" also made appearances in the top five, with domestic totals of $138.5 million and $7.1 million, respectively. High-profile limited releases like \"Fjord,\" \"Musk,\" and \"Misty Green\" opened in select theaters, grossing a combined $277,416. The annual domestic box office surpassed the $8 billion mark, with final figures expected on Monday.",
