"account": "The New York Knicks are facing a dilemma with two of their star players, Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Hart, who are eligible for contract extensions but have been unable to reach agreements with the team. The organization has decided to put contract discussions on hold in order to focus on preparing for the upcoming NBA season and defending their championship title. A Knicks spokesperson stated that they will not be negotiating extensions until later in the season. Although talks may resume at a later time, the team is focused on the present moment. New York Post's Stefan Bondy reported that there are potential scenarios where Hart and Towns could reach contracts that keep the team under the second apron in the 2027-28 season. However, superstar Jalen Brunson, who was recently asked about the situation, emphasized that everyone would maintain a professional demeanor and continue to perform their duties, regardless of the outcome. The Knicks are in a precarious position, with a championship to defend and contract negotiations proving challenging.",
