"account": "Johor's education department plans to release daily notifications about school closures due to haze, despite the state government's recent five-day extension, according to Dr Muhammad Naqib Md Ghazali, an executive councillor. Naqib emphasized that the department's requirement to provide these updates aligns with administrative procedures set by the education ministry, and does not conflict with the state government's announcement. The safety and well-being of students is the top priority for everyone during this time, he stressed in a social media post.\n\nParents were seen sharing concerns and seeking clarification on social media about the extension of school closures in Johor. The department had initially announced that all schools would be closed the following day, while the government had previously stated the closure would be extended until October 16. Residential school principals would decide whether to allow students to return home, considering their safety and well-being and current risk assessments. Examinations were postponed and rescheduled by the education department.",
