"summary": "The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State has protested the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) decision to omit its deputy governorship candidate and seven others from the final list, according to Punch Nigeria.\n\nIn Enugu State, INEC has cleared former Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology Geoffrey Nnaji to contest the 2027 governorship election. Daily Trust reports that Nnaji, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, is number 13 on the list signed by INEC Secretary Rose Oriaran-Anthony. The report notes that Nnaji omitted a controversial degree from his submission, instead tendering his WAEC results, following previous allegations regarding forged academic and NYSC certificates.\n\nThe Daily Post Nigeria reports that INEC has released the final list of 18 presidential candidates for the 2027 election. The list includes Bola Tinubu of the APC, Atiku Abubakar of the ADC, Peter Obi of the NDC, Oluseyi Makinde of the APM, Sandy Ojang Onor of the PDP, and Donald Duke of the PRP, among others.",
