"account": "An Indonesian domestic flight from Delhi to Chennai was diverted to Hyderabad after a power bank caught fire in an overhead luggage compartment, according to a video circulating on social media. The flames emerged as passengers frantically removed their belongings from the compartment, visibly alarmed. The airline confirmed that the situation was swiftly managed by the cabin crew, and all individuals on board were reported to be unharmed. Power banks, which house lithium-ion batteries, can overheat or ignite if mishandled or damaged. In response to a similar incident on a South Korean aircraft in January 2025, many airlines have implemented stringent regulations regarding power banks. These rules often prohibit their storage in overhead compartments and mandate passengers to carry them onboard. Other Asian carriers, including Thai Airways, AirAsia, Eva Air, and China Airlines, have also introduced similar restrictions on external batteries.",
