"account": "In a recent development, US President Donald Trump announced that Russia and Ukraine have reached an energy ceasefire in their ongoing conflict. Trump did not provide many specifics, only stating that the ceasefire would be effective immediately. Neither Ukraine nor Russia has yet responded to the announcement. The BBC has reached out to the White House for further information. President Trump has been advocating for Ukraine to stop targeting Russian oil infrastructure, which Ukraine claims is crucial for reducing Moscow's war funding. This could help Ukraine fulfill a recent agreement to supply diesel to the US and the global market. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky had previously stated that he was open to halting the strikes if Russia halted attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. As this is a breaking news story, more details will be released shortly. Please refresh the page for the most comprehensive version.
