"account": "Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar praised the festive spirit of Dasara in Mysuru, stating that the 11-day celebration offers a glimpse of India's culture and heritage to both domestic and international audiences. During the inauguration of Mysuru Dasara 2026 atop Chamundi Hills, the CM highlighted how the festival has transcended its royal origins to become a people's event, symbolizing unity in a democratic nation. Shivakumar emphasized that Dasara removes the thorn of unrighteousness with the thorn of righteousness, emphasizing the importance of devotion and humanity. He recalled the Wadiyars' role in transforming Dasara into a platform for art and culture promotion, defending the decision to hold Kambala, a traditional buffalo race, during the festivities. Despite opposition, the government plans to resume the event, citing historical tradition. Shivakumar also highlighted the role of various art forms in preserving Karnataka's culture and commended the Dasara as a major stage for artists to showcase their talents. The CM thanked Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for approving the participation of contingents from the three armed forces in the Dasara festival. Shivakumar acknowledged the significant contributions of religious institutions and Mutts in society, comparing their status to that of God, and expressed respect for their aspirations.",
