"summary": "Oladipupo Adebutu, the Ogun State PDP governorship candidate, has urged his supporters to remain calm following the omission of his name from the 2027 candidates list released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). According to Punch Nigeria, the omission occurred after the electoral body published its list.\n\nThe PDP in Ogun State expressed confidence that Adebutu's name will be published by INEC ahead of the 2027 governorship election. In a statement signed by Publicity Secretary Arc. Kayode Adebayo, the party attributed the omission to undue pressure from the ruling party on INEC. The PDP maintained that Adebutu never left the party and had duly registered as a member during the digital registration exercise, noting that his membership card had been verified and submitted to INEC.\n\nWhile the party urged citizens not to be distracted from voting out the All Progressives Congress, Premium Times reported that Shehu Sani claimed that the legal backing granted to the electoral body by the Supreme Court makes further legal challenges futile for omitted candidates.",
