"summary": "The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released its final list of candidates for the 2027 elections. According to Daily Post Nigeria, the list of presidential candidates includes 18 individuals and their running mates, such as Bola Tinubu of the APC, Atiku Abubakar of the ADC, and Peter Obi of the NDC. Other figures on the presidential list include Oluseyi Makinde, Sandy Ojang Onor, Donald Duke, Rufai Adekunle Omo-Aje, Abbas-Bin Aliyu, Yusuf Kabiru, Omoyele Sowore, Sunday Adenuga, Adebisi Olusoji, Sunday Okereke, Adewole Adebayo, Peter Agada, and Nwanyanwu Daberechukwu.\n\nIn Plateau State, the APC and PDP have expressed confidence in winning the 2027 governorship election following the release of INEC's final list of 17 candidates, which includes Mutfwang. Meanwhile, Daily Trust reports that INEC has cleared Geoffrey Nnaji, a former Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, to contest the 2027 Enugu State governorship election. Nnaji, who is listed as number 13 on the list signed by INEC Secretary Rose Oriaran-Anthony, submitted his WAEC results as his PDP candidacy omitted a controversial degree.\n\nRegarding other candidates, Punch reports that Ogun PDP governorship candidate Oladipupo Adebutu urged supporters to remain calm after his name was omitted from the list. Premium Times notes that Shehu Sani stated via Facebook that legal challenges regarding the publication of the INEC list would be futile due to the unambiguous legal backing granted to the electoral body by the Supreme Court.",
