"summary": "Oladipupo Adebutu, the Ogun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, has urged his supporters to remain calm following the omission of his name from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) candidates list, according to Punch. The PDP expressed confidence that Adebutu's name will be published ahead of the 2027 governorship election, asserting that he remained a duly registered member whose details had been verified and submitted to INEC within the required period.\n\nThis Day reports that the PDP attributed the omission to undue pressure from the ruling party on INEC. The party stated that the people of Ogun State should not be distracted from their goal of voting out the All Progressives Congress (APC), maintaining that political manipulation cannot alter the mandate of the state.\n\nIn a separate matter, the Nigeria Democratic Congress blamed a name registration discrepancy for the omission of its Kaduna governorship candidate, Danjuma La’ah, from the list, according to Punch Nigeria. Additionally, responding to the publication of the final INEC governorship candidates list, Shehu Sani claimed via Facebook that legal challenges regarding the list would be futile due to unambiguous legal backing granted to the electoral body by the Supreme Court, according to Premium Times.",
