"summary": "Three Indian Express Hindi journalists were detained by Delhi Police while reporting on protests organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Sunday. The journalists displayed their valid press cards but were taken into detention and forced into buses, before being released 12 kilometers away at Chhatrasal Stadium. The protests were against alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The police did not provide a specific legal provision or reason for the detentions. This incident occurred amid a broader crackdown on protesters in the national capital, where around 7,000 people, including journalists, lawyers, and civil society members, were detained on October 10.",
