"account": "Opposition to Google's planned $15 billion AI data centre in Visakhapatnam, India, is mounting, with campaigners alleging the project will strain local resources and damage the environment. Google's $688 million data centre, set to employ over 4,200 people during construction and hundreds once operational, will generate $688 million in economic activity annually. However, locals fear water scarcity, land price increases, and inadequate job creation. The government claims it will build new housing and prioritize residents' needs, but campaigners demand an independent environmental and social impact assessment before further development.",
"summary": "Handcuffs encircle Google's logo on one campaign poster, while another warns that people \"cannot drink data\", as opposition mounts to the tech giant's planned AI mega-facility in India. Still, water use worries residents, especially given plans for Vizag to become a tech megahub.",
