"summary": "A landslide in Chumnubri village in the Gorkha district of central Nepal blocked the Budhi Gandaki River, triggering floods that swept away homes and infrastructure. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, about a dozen houses and two suspension bridges were destroyed, and a hydroelectric project camp was damaged. The Budhi Gandaki River is a tributary of the Trishuli River.\n\nAuthorities have urged villagers living along the riverbanks downstream to evacuate and remain safe. The Gorkha district's most senior bureaucrat, Dharmendra Kumar Mishra, confirmed that evacuation alerts have been issued across several districts. The army rescued several people, including 49 individuals, and efforts are ongoing to locate those still unaccounted for.\n\nThe Free Malaysia Today reported that two women and three men were out of contact, while the Gulf News stated that at least 10 people have been reported missing. The flooded river carrying muddy sludge was rising, and rescue teams have been deployed to the affected area.",
