"account": "EA producer Jim Vessella has announced a remaster of the classic space combat game Wing Commander 3. The remaster, titled \"Wing Commander 3: Heart of the Tiger—30th anniversary edition,\" is set to feature cutscenes based on the original FMV recordings discovered in EA's archives. These source tapes were uncovered during a digitization project, revealing 600 tapes containing valuable footage. The remaster will offer both source and upscaled versions of the game's FMVs, run at 60 FPS, include controller support, and be released on Steam, GOG, and the EA app. The project also includes integration of Wing Commander 1 & 2, along with their expansion packs. Vessella, known for his work on Star Citizen's single-player spinoff Squadron 42, presented the remaster at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo. Given Wing Commander 3's reputation for delivering a compelling narrative through FMVs, the discovery of the original recordings is a significant development.",
