"account": "Ducati rider Fermin Aldeguer is set for surgical treatment on his right hand after a series of crashes during the Indonesian Grand Prix weekend. This was not a repeat of his maiden victory at the race a year ago; instead, it was a far cry from a triumphant comeback. Aldeguer suffered two crashes on Friday, which saw him slip to the back of the grid, failing to make qualifying. Despite securing a spot in Q2, a crash there left him in sixth place on the starting lineup. Following a promising opening lap that catapulted him to fourth, Aldeguer ended his weekend on a sour note by sliding out at Turn 16 on the second lap of the race. The race officials confirmed that the Spaniard has a fracture at the base of the first metacarpal bone in his right hand, necessitating surgical intervention. Aldeguer, representing Gresini Racing, is scheduled to travel to Barcelona immediately following the race on Sunday for the procedure. The 21-year-old MotoGP rider can take solace in the fact that there are two weeks until the next race—the Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island. However, Aldeguer's injury woes extend beyond this weekend. He has been grappling with a persistent limp stemming from a pre-season testing accident that fractured his femur. Additionally, an injury sustained at Assen earlier in the season prompted his absence from three mid-season rounds. Aldeguer's current predicament marks a challenging period in his MotoGP career, as he attempts to bounce back from a weekend marred by multiple mishaps.",
