"summary": "At least 40 houses and two suspension bridges were destroyed in a flash flood on the Kaligandaki River in Nepal's Gorkha district on Sunday morning, according to a local official. The flood was triggered when a landslide blocked the river, causing it to overflow. No casualties have been reported thus far, but at least 40 houses in five different settlements have been swept away, according to Laxmi Gurung, vice-chairperson of the rural municipality. Rescue teams, including personnel from Kathmandu, have arrived at the scene, and further assessments are underway. Residents along the river corridor had been advised to evacuate their homes earlier in the day due to flood warnings.",
