"account": "The western pair Ospreys and Scarlets secured victories in the 2026-27 United Rugby Championship (URC) season, despite uncertainty over their futures due to controversial Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) plans. Ospreys defeated Dragons at Rodney Parade, while Scarlets narrowly beat Benetton with a late penalty from Sam Costelow. Cardiff showed spirit in defeat against champions Leinster but returned empty-handed from Dublin. The three Welsh sides scored a total of 24 tries across the games. Head coach Mark Jones of Ospreys praised Tom Rogers, who switched from Scarlets to play predominantly as a full-back. Rogers impressed with his performance, including a hat-trick of tries for Wales against New Zealand. Scarlets director of rugby Nigel Davies emphasized the importance of consistency in delivering their highlight reel. With a high turnover of players in wide slots, uncapped wing Macs Page is seen as a wildcard option for Steve Tandy's Wales squad due to his agility and rugby IQ.",
