"summary": "A car crashed into a pedestrian near a cafe on Flinders Street in Melbourne at around 10:30am. Barista Kirk Pearson, who was working at the cafe, described the car as \"screaming\" from Elizabeth Street before hitting the pedestrian.\n\nThe incident occurred on the same day as the Melbourne Marathon, which was won by Kenya's Eliud Kipchoge with a course record time of 2 hours, 9 minutes, and 10 seconds. Kipchoge, a two-time Olympic champion and former world record holder, broke away from the pack in the last 10 kilometers of the 42.2km race.\n\nThe marathon route took participants down St Kilda Road, past Flinders Street Station, around Albert Park Lake, and finished inside the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). According to ABC News, several thousand fans attended the event. In the women's race, New Zealand's Camille French won with a time of 2:28:25.",
