"account": "The Foreign Office (FO) reiterated on Sunday Pakistan's unwavering dedication to safeguarding Saudi Arabia's security and territorial integrity post the recent Houthi attacks on Riyadh. The Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, signed by Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on August 7, along with Türkiye, aims to bolster collective defense and empower the states to view an attack on any of them as an attack on all. The attacking act, which killed 12 and injured 309 at Saudi Arabia's international airport, was condemned as a \"heinous act of terrorism, a flagrant violation of international law, and a grave threat to regional peace and security\".\n\nPakistan's Foreign Office expressed deep sorrow over the victims, extending condolences to their families and wishing the injured a speedy recovery. It emphasized the intolerable nature of such acts, urging the international community to condemn them unequivocally. Pakistan affirmed its solidarity with Saudi Arabia's leadership, reaffirming its commitment to the kingdom's sovereignty, integrity, security, and stability, as per the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement. The FO also backed Saudi Arabia's right to self-defense against all threats and urged the Houthis to cease their attacks while calling for the international community to take a firm stance against them. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed these sentiments in a separate post on X, describing the civilian and infrastructure targeting as a \"serious threat to regional peace and stability\".",
