"account": "In the main event of UFC Fight Night 290 held at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, Brendan Allen secured a late submission victory over Christian Leroy Duncan. Allen (28-7 MMA, 16-4 UFC) forced Duncan (15-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) to tap out at 2:46 in Round 5 with a rear-naked choke. The fight started with stiff exchanges as the two middleweights looked to wear each other down. Allen took the lead with a trip takedown, but Duncan regained control and resumed striking. A brief eye poke by Duncan resulted in a point deduction from referee Marc Goddard. Duncan then unleashed a flurry of strikes, but Allen maintained his pressure and secured a takedown in Round 3. In Round 4, Allen continued to wear down Duncan with his pressure before finishing the fight with the rear-naked choke in Round 5. Post-fight, Allen called out former champion Dricus Du Plessis, stating that it was time for him to face another champion if the title shot opportunity wasn't available.",
