"account": "Nine people were killed across three Manipur districts in a span of 24 hours due to Naga-Kuki clashes, according to officials. This was one of the deadliest days in the conflict-ridden state. The violence persisted despite Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh's meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, emphasizing the government's commitment to lasting peace and stability. Six of the deceased were Nagas, two were Kukis, and one was of Nepalese origin. Kamjong and Kangpokpi districts recorded four deaths each, while Ukhrul saw one fatality. The chief minister condemned the killing of innocent civilians and ordered immediate action to restore peace. The incidents began when a Kuki woman was killed in cross-fire during an operation to destroy illegal bunkers near Chassad police station in Kamjong district. The Kuki Women Union claimed that one Kuki man was also killed. In Kangpokpi, three Naga village guards were killed, while another attack on Naga volunteers in Tapon led to two injuries. A commuter, Sandeep Rai, was also killed in an ambush near Ukhrul.",
