"account": "Portugal's star player Cristiano Ronaldo has been provisionally suspended by his national team following his unauthorised departure from the team camp, according to the Portuguese Football Federation. The 41-year-old striker sparked the disciplinary proceedings after a miscommunication with head coach Jorge Jesus. Ronaldo claimed that Jesus had promised him playing time in upcoming matches, but the coach allegedly reneged on his word.\n\nIn a statement, Ronaldo admitted his actions were \"not the best way to handle the situation\" and expressed regret for leaving camp. However, he maintained that the breach of trust was due to Jesus's broken promises. The Portuguese Football Federation outlined potential suspensions, ranging from one month to six months, for a player who abandons national team duties. Ronaldo acknowledged the seriousness of his actions, stating that the punishment should not have any mitigating circumstances due to his captaincy role. Despite his suspension, Ronaldo remains committed to playing for Portugal in the future, including upcoming Nations League matches against Denmark and Wales.",
